My last book, Time After Time, was partly set in the 1980s. Officially this was because it suited the story, but that’s not the only reason. I also wanted to do a book where my research could involve trawling through my old photo albums and trying not to ruin the pictures with my tears of laughter.
Now that the tears have dried though, and I’ve returned to the real world, I’ve begin to think that maybe it’s time for a 1980s revival.
Wouldn’t it be lovely to live in a world where fashion excess is everywhere?
Where we can sport big hair and big shoulders and clashing colours?
Where the concept of good taste is….er……parked for a while?
Who’s with me on this????
