My debut is published!!!

Today I am so excited. My debut The Scarlet Files: Cat Burglar is out. I’ve been writing for over twelve years and now I’m published. Wahoo!!!! It’s aimed at children 9+

Scarlet McCall thinks she has it all figured out. She and her dad are on a mission to return stolen treasures to their rightful owners. But when they take an ancient Aztec bracelet, her world turns upside down.

Dad goes missing and mysterious powers erupt inside her. She’s hunted by mysterious people who will stop at nothing to possess the bracelet. Searching for her dad, Scar must learn who to trust before it’s all too late.

My launch is at Waterstones Yeovil this evening and I’m dressing up as a cat burglar. Students from Stanchester Academy decorated the bookshop window. They used a photograph of my daughter to make the silhouette stands, and they painted straight onto the glass.

There will be a fantastic cake shaped like a jaguar, plus lots of bubbly drink and cupcakes.

  1. Congratulations, it all looks amazing, the students have done a fantastic job. Your book is definitely on my wish list for our school library! Have a fabulous time tonight.

    • Thank you so much. The students created a phenomenal window – I feel very lucky. And I had a wonderful launch party. I really hope Cat Burglar manages to scale its way into your school library! 😃

  2. There is nothing in the world better than a launch day (OK, maybe one or two things, but you know what I mean) Especially after the long fight to get published! Congrats and welcome to the family!
