Q: How excited must the organisers of the first ever Barnes Children’s Literature Festival be right now?
A: Very. I think I can hear the sound of the butterflies in their tummies from here! (They’re down in South London, I’m up in North London.)
If you’re in the general area on Saturday (25th April), why don’t you check it out? Some great authors are there, including Sally Gardner, Piers Torday, Alexander Gordon Smith, Emer Stamp, ‘Horrible Histories’ Martin Brown and lots more (including me *waves*).
Lots of the events are sold out (including the FABULOUS looking premiere of ‘A Bit Lost’, a stage production of Chris Haughton’s ridiculously cute picture book, which I’d have LOVED to see), but there are still tickets up for grabs for many others.
