Travelling, travelling…
Hi everyone!
This is going to be more like a letter than a blog…no pictures because I’m travelling in Texas at the moment and don’t have my own lap top with me. However, I am taking photographs, and will let you see them next month, on 10th April. Meanwhile you’ll just have to imagine it. I flew to Houston, and have ridden the Greyhound bus to Austin. Not so many people travel this way in the US these days, but when I was a student it was a very cool way to travel all over the country.
Now I’m in a friend’s house in Austin, writing this while she’s gone for her riding lesson. It’s hot here, and I’m listening to bird songs that I don’t recognise. Next week I’ll be taking a train journey over the prairies and later I’ll fly to San Francisco, staying in an old house overlooking the bay. There are so many treats to come!
I won’t forget to keep taking pictures and will share the best with you. I have lots of Girls Heart Books bookmarks with me, and will be handing them out in bookshops and to friends. I wonder if we’ll find we have some new friends on GHB by the time I get home?
See you in April!
Cindy
